7 easy miles on the river trail.  Triathlon was today, my hubs volunteered and our babysitter didn't work out so I slept in and I loved it. :)

2 goals w/ one race today!  I beat the 20 minute barrier for a 5k and I took 1st place overall.  Lucky for me the speedies were doing the 10k. :)  Got to hang w/ Sue, Lily, Rachelle &  Rachel after!

30 minutes of spin class w/ Kristen.  then biked 50 minutes outside with Tammy & Adrienne.  We did 12.3 miles in 50 minutes.  I actually really enjoyed the bike & the ride.  Now I just need to start saving my pennies so I can buy a nice road bike. :)  

Also worked triceps & chest today w/ Suz.  I'm going to say the biking was equivalent to 8 miles.

Sooo where to begin...I am not too happy with my race today, a little discouraged for my marathon, but I guess that's how the cookie crumbles on some races. :)   I got to see Lily before the race started.  She loaded me up with some cytomax.  I think that helped.

It's a tough course in my opinion.  It's an out and back TWICE.  ugh.  The only good thing is being able to turn around and see how close the next girl is to you.  I started with one other girl that looked to be quite a threat and sure enough she was!  She was super fast!  So I followed behind her for a few miles until she was just way out of my reach.  

Splits:

Mile 1 - 6:48 - Started too fast.  Goal was to have a negative split race & not go over 7 minutes on any mile.  Well that didn't happen.

Mile 2 - 6:59

Mile 3 - 6:57

Mile 4 - 6:52

Mile 5 - 7:02 - I think this was the mile after the first turn around I got to see RAD & my Hubby.

Mile 9 - 7:24 - eek what happened here??? This might have been the 2nd turn around & I saw RAD & Wes again.  I did take a shot block here so maybe that was the reason.

Sorry I wasn't able to stay & chat longer Rachel, but I had to leave right after the awards to get to Panguitch by 1.  We made it on time, barely.  My hip was killing me the whole way there and back.

HIIT class w/ Susan as the instructor.  Super good work out.  And 25 minute bike ride....so maybe equal to 5? ;) husband is going camping/fishing so no morning workout tomorrow, but I hope to get in a good speed work out in the afternoon.

woke up pretty darn sore from the HIIT work out yesterday w/ Sue.  I hit the TM around 9...i needed the sleep in.  Did 8 800 repeats.  I was supposed to do 10, but since when have I ever done the full workouts I am supposed to do? :)  

It is amazing how much my running legs & running mind are rejuvenated when I take a couple days off from running and cross train.  2 weeks to st george and I am very excited!

5 w/ sue to gym & back.  worked biceps & abs.  on a scary note Sue could have easily been hit by a car today.  the crazy thing is that we both had reflective vests on, she had her flash light & we were in a cross walk.  so be careful.

A day of rest for me today.  Does anyone know if I can sneak in w/ Lily for the elite stalls & bathrooms?  Or does your bib say if you're an elite or not?  You know like she can get me a behind the scenes pass for her being a VIP.  I just don't want to be  ♫♪ALL BY MYSELF, DON'T WANT TO BE ALL BY MYSELF♪♫ before the race.
