Parked my car at the hobble creek golf course today and ran 3 miles, then found Leandra and finished the rest of her 1/2 with her. :) more info later..maybe

so my original plan was to meet Leandra at mile 7. but I found some people that told me the race started 30 minutes late! So I decided to just start running up until I met Leandra. It was actually way cool b/c I got to see the leaders of the pack. And I got to cheer on a lot of familiar faces! Saw Mary Ann, Tyler S, Josse, Lynsey & Kellie S and then found Lani soon after that. We had some good times talking, and then I realized she wasn't really talking it was just me, so then I wasn't sure if I was bothering her, so I told her I wouldn't feel bad if she put her ear phones back in. :)

It was pretty hot towards the end. And I also think they need more portapotties, especially when you get into town. But of course I still loved it, Hobble Creek was my favorite run last year and to be able to run w/ Lani was pretty cool. She beat all goals she set for herself! And Lynsey did awesome!!! I can't believe how fast your are girf!!!

Great job hobbley half creekers. :)

Merri! you ROCK! I can't thank you enough for helping me finish! I know I would have walked longer and more if you hadn't been there. It was so fun to run with you for longer than a mile or 2. I don't think we've ever done that before! Thanks so much!

As always it was so fun to see you running up the canyon. You and Lynds should join us for a saturday run. This sat I think I am going out to SF and doing a 20 miler. I know that is what you want to do Merri so you need to come. I let me know and I will give you details because I am not sure at this point.

Can I just tell you all how much i hate the words know and now I confuse them all the time. I had to pull out the dictionary to make sure I had them right and I am still questioning myself. I really should not care, but I don't want to sound uneducated like.

ha ha mara-what? Remember at the end when I said I could never run another 13 miles right after that :).

Oh and the not talking thing- I LOVED you talking, I just didn't have enough energy to make sentences. ha ha that's why all I could reply was yes, ha ha, no, etc. But I loved you talking to me. And it didn't even bother me not running with headphones. At that last mile when you told me to put them back in, I did for a second and the noise was actually really annoying to me so I had to pull them out.

When I talked to McKenzie she said probably 5:45 and I am not sure where we are meeting but will let you know.
