I am supposed to cross train today.  I really needed the sleep this morning.  I'll do something today I am sure.  Tomorrow 8 miles :)

I made my Amish Friendship Bread today.  Why does that bread really have to take 10 days?  I guess so we'll be looking forward to it more?  Anyone want a starter?  anyone anyone?????

PM - 5 miles on TM

3 mile warm up (23:30)

1.5 miles at 6 min mile (9 mins)

.5 cool down (4 mins)

Felt really good, but the gym was sooo hot.  I know I am pretty sweaty to begin with, but this was unnatural.  Where's the AC golds???

I really need the sleep too. I always do though. Probably I'll take a nap today at work on the cold hard desk.

Love your new pic! So you weren't lieing about having a head lamp.

PS- Do not bring that D#*% Amish bread to me...

From Lily on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 12:22:59 from 160.7.232.104

No bread for me. To many carbs :) You should have come to the gym with me this morning silly!

From Merri on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 12:35:59 from 207.88.76.69

Oh girls say it with me...I love Amish people and I love CaRbS!!!!

From Merri on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 12:57:10 from 207.88.76.69

Burt do you want me to bring you an Amish bread starter?

From Leandra on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 13:10:51 from 207.224.204.11

I'll pass on the amish bread but I will take some of that carmel cake and cookies and cream ice cream you had on fathers day.

From Merri on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 13:27:37 from 207.88.76.69

I made the bread today and it's delicious. I know the bags get puffy and full of air and it looks and sounds kind of gross to leave milk out for 10 days, but the bread is good ladies. :)

Another cute new picture!

I love that bread, there are some super good recipes out there that you can make. I made a chocolate one once and it was TO DIE FOR!

Did you decide on the midnight half? I kind of want to do it for fun, but not alone. Have you done it before? Still pondering this one...

From Merri on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 13:34:49 from 207.88.76.69

Kelli - I'm still trying to decide on the midnight half as well. It sounds fun, I've never done it. The pictures on their site look like it's fun. When I did WBR last year my favorite run was the 1 am run so I know i like running in the dark :) Where do you live? Salt lake area?

From Lyns on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 13:39:17 from 75.162.104.51

Love the amish bread and I also love the cArBs... but its all the pressure that comes along with the passing along of the amish bread that I can't handle... the waiting and the baking and the passing along ( I am no June Cleaver!)

So if you give me a starter... I'll ultimatley have some sort of a meltdown .. and then I'll buy a Harley and ride off into the sunset to Mexico and become a professional Salsa dancer. Do you really want all that on your conscience Merri! Huh...huh???

From Kelli on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 13:43:40 from 71.219.76.64

That Amish bread is a handful, and you do eventually get sick of it and have to sneakily throw it away!

I live in Herriman, so close enough to do it. I like running at night, so it intrigues me! Maybe we need to get a group and just do it!

From Merri on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 15:15:06 from 207.88.76.69

I actually thew away the first starter I got, then a different neighbor gave me another starter so I thought it must be a sign to make the bread. :) But I know about the pressure of passing it along. I've got it now.

Kelli - Yeah lets get a group together :)

From RAD on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 17:59:03 from 67.166.99.8

Merri,

I'll take a starter -as long as you babysit for 10 days :) I'm usually too lazy to remember to put the stuff in at day 6, then I just end up throwing it away at day 15! I'd throw my shoes in for the midnight run....when is it?

From Merri on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 18:57:16 from 207.88.76.69

Midnight half is Aug 7th - here are the details...

Rad - of course I would babysit for you for 10 days!!! Anything to get this goo out of my hands. :)

golds hates having ac, the trick is to get under one of the fans but that is a feat (spellling?) in itself.

From Lyns on Fri, Jun 26, 2009 at 23:03:17 from 75.162.104.51

Just thinking about how fast you were running makes me want to throw up! LOL You are so fast - you are one of these "superhumans". I'm pretty sure you have super powers!
