2 goals w/ one race today!  I beat the 20 minute barrier for a 5k and I took 1st place overall.  Lucky for me the speedies were doing the 10k. :)  Got to hang w/ Sue, Lily, Rachelle &  Rachel after!

5 w/ Sue, we also worked shoulders & abs today.  Ran 4 with Tammy while the older two were in school & I pushed the stroller.

30 minutes of spin class w/ Kristen.  then biked 50 minutes outside with Tammy & Adrienne.  We did 12.3 miles in 50 minutes.  I actually really enjoyed the bike & the ride.  Now I just need to start saving my pennies so I can buy a nice road bike. :)  

Also worked triceps & chest today w/ Suz.  I'm going to say the biking was equivalent to 8 miles.

Sooo where to begin...I am not too happy with my race today, a little discouraged for my marathon, but I guess that's how the cookie crumbles on some races. :)   I got to see Lily before the race started.  She loaded me up with some cytomax.  I think that helped.

It's a tough course in my opinion.  It's an out and back TWICE.  ugh.  The only good thing is being able to turn around and see how close the next girl is to you.  I started with one other girl that looked to be quite a threat and sure enough she was!  She was super fast!  So I followed behind her for a few miles until she was just way out of my reach.  

Splits:

Mile 1 - 6:48 - Started too fast.  Goal was to have a negative split race & not go over 7 minutes on any mile.  Well that didn't happen.

Mile 2 - 6:59

Mile 3 - 6:57

Mile 4 - 6:52

Mile 5 - 7:02 - I think this was the mile after the first turn around I got to see RAD & my Hubby.

Mile 9 - 7:24 - eek what happened here??? This might have been the 2nd turn around & I saw RAD & Wes again.  I did take a shot block here so maybe that was the reason.

Sorry I wasn't able to stay & chat longer Rachel, but I had to leave right after the awards to get to Panguitch by 1.  We made it on time, barely.  My hip was killing me the whole way there and back.
